THE PRAXIS
How do you know when you have actually learned something?
For us we are willing to facilitate an environment that allows action to answer questions. How else could one discuss anything involving physical effort without a having a point of reference? The subjects we will be discussing are not conventional and neither is our approach. The training will be a tool not just to open your lungs but also your mind. Rather than worrying on arriving with answers, we're more concerned with placing ourselves in a place to ask better questions. The training will be long and hard, but it pails in comparison with the discussion we have planned for afterwards.
A praxis is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied, or realized. It can also refer to the act of enacting, applying, exercising, realizing or practicing ideas. It is ultimately a form of critical thinking that comprises reflective and cognitive action.
The process is as follows:
1. Taking the action.
2. Considering the impacts of the action.
3. Analyzing the results by reflecting upon it.
4. An altering and revising conceptions and planning following reflection
5. Implementing these plans into further actions.
This essentially creates a cycle which is what we intend to happen during these events. Your involvement will be required a and we will reciprocate...
